Historical Brown Brick Building

This five-story historic Brooklyn building required a lighting approach that could support residential, office, and boutique hospitality spaces while remaining consistent with the architect's overall lighting vision.
Yuji worked closely with the project's lighting designer, who developed the lighting details, performed calculations, and selected suitable solutions based on the architectural concept. Yuji coordinated the lighting package across multiple manufacturers from the U.S. and Asia, while also analyzing chromaticity across different light sources to help maintain a consistent visual appearance throughout the building.
Yuji solutions were integrated into windows, skylights, architectural recesses, stairs, wardrobes, and other built-in elements. In addition, Yuji linear lighting was integrated into a track lighting system from another U.S. lighting brand, creating a hybrid solution that combined different product platforms within one coordinated lighting concept.
Yuji also managed the overall lighting package and provided technical support to the electrical contractor during installation. This included guidance on drivers, voltage drop, wiring, power distribution, installation details, compatibility, and other field-related technical questions.
The project combined Dim to FlameWarm lighting, high-CRI static white linear lighting, downlights, track lighting, custom profiles, and high-density wardrobe lighting.
The result is a coordinated multi-brand lighting system where architectural intent, color consistency, product compatibility, and installation requirements were managed as one integrated solution.
