About Profile KOZEL
KOZEL is a wide recessed aluminum profile for drywall, built for trimless installations where the line of light sits flush with the ceiling or wall — no visible aluminum elements, just a clean 2.63″ band of light. At 0.96″ deep with a 0.95″ LED channel, it accepts up to two LED runs rated at up to 5.9 W/ft each, and the power supply can be mounted inside the luminous part of the luminaire, keeping the ceiling plenum untouched.
The dual-run channel is what sets KOZEL apart in the range: it carries a two-strip SunWave or Tunable White configuration for wide, diffused dynamic-white scenes — which is why it is specified for circadian and daylight-simulation applications alongside general and architectural-detail lighting. High-efficacy modules (up to 190 lm/W, CRI>90) are available on request. For layout principles — cove geometry, run lengths, diffusion distance — see the linear LED lighting guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is KOZEL mounted?
KOZEL recesses into drywall as a trimless profile: after finishing, the aluminum is concealed and the diffuser sits flush with the surface, leaving only the line of light visible.
How many LED strips fit in KOZEL?
The 0.95″ channel takes up to two LED runs, each rated at up to 5.9 W/ft — enough for a dual-run tunable-white configuration such as SunWave or Tunable White.
What is KOZEL best used for?
Wide, flush lines of light in ceilings and walls: general and architectural lighting, wardrobe interiors, wellness and spa spaces, and circadian or daylight-simulation schemes that benefit from the dual-run channel.
